Step into ancient Baghdad and follow the gripping journey of Fuwaad ibn Abbas, a humble fabric merchant whose life changes forever when he stumbles upon a mysterious alchemist’s shop. Hidden within it lies a portal that transports you twenty years into the past or the future.

Adapted from a timeless short story, The Gate of Years blends science fiction, historical intrigue, and philosophical depth to create an unforgettable storytelling experience. Through a series of nested tales, audiences meet characters who have dared to use the gate—each wrestling with regret, destiny, desire, humour, sensuality, and redemption.

As Fuwaad confronts his own choices and steps through the portal, the performance explores the paradoxical nature of time, the consequences of our actions, and the beautifully mysterious ways in which life unfolds.
